Winston Day and Boarding Primary School Kawempe and City Parents School emerged as the biggest winners at the 2026 Kampala Junior League, sharing honours across football and basketball as the second edition of the competition climaxed at Sir Apollo Kaggwa Primary School in Kisaasi. The one-day event brought together 11 schools to celebrate young sporting talent in the Ugandan capital.
Winston Kawempe dominated the programme, taking four category titles on the day. Their haul underlined the school's strength across multiple age groups and disciplines in the junior ranks.
City Parents School matched that success on the basketball court, sweeping both the boys' and girls' titles to round out a memorable finals. Their double capped a strong edition of the competition, which continues to grow in its second year.
