Senegalese point guard Jean-Jacques Boissy has joined Tanzanian club Dar City ahead of the East Division Elite 16 of the Road to the Basketball Africa League 2027.
Dar City received direct qualification for the tournament, scheduled for November 17 to 22 in Nairobi, Kenya. The club are seeking a place in the 2027 BAL season and believe Boissy’s continental experience will strengthen their chances.
The 6-foot-2 guard was named BAL Most Valuable Player after leading Libya’s Al Ahly Tripoli to the 2025 title. Boissy also played for the NBA G League’s Windy City Bulls before joining Al Ahly Benghazi for the 2026 BAL season.
He is expected to bolster Dar City’s backcourt, while the club have also signed former RSSB Tigers player Tyler Tarik Bey as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the qualifiers.
