Senegalese international centre Ndoumbé Mbodj has signed with Ivorian club Friend's Basketball Association (FBA) for the FIBA Women's Basketball League Africa (WBLA) Zone 3 qualifiers, according to Basket Sénégal. The 1.92m pivot joins the Abidjan-based side as it seeks to reach the WBLA final phase.

FBA's recruitment drive brings a dominant post player into the squad, a figure capable of shaping games physically and defensively during the Zone 3 qualifying tournament organised by FIBA Africa. The move gives the club a notable addition ahead of the continental competition.

Mbodj's departure marks a significant step in her career. Born in Saint-Louis, she joined ASC Ville de Dakar (ASCVD) in 2021 from DUC and has been a leading presence in Senegalese women's basketball over recent seasons.

She will now lend that experience to the Ivorian formation as it pursues a place in the WBLA finals.
