MFM Women Basketball Club and Nigeria Customs will enter the 2026 Zenith Bank/NBBF Women's Premier League Final 8 without a loss after sweeping their conferences across two phases, headlining an eight-team field confirmed for Lagos later this month. The Final 8 will hold in the last week of September at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, with exact dates still to be approved by the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) and Zenith Bank.
MFM won all 14 of their Atlantic Conference matches, taking all seven games in Lagos and all four in Port Harcourt to finish top ahead of Victoria Queens and First Bank. In the Savannah Conference, Nigeria Customs closed the second phase unbeaten, beating ASO SKY Queens 60-42 at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, to top the log while ASO SKY finished second. Titans and Air Warriors took the remaining slots after final-day wins over Plateau Rocks (54-31) and Nasarawa Amazons (76-45), respectively, leaving Nasarawa Amazons winless across both phases.
Bayelsa Blue Whales' qualification completes the Atlantic quartet. Defending champions Dolphins will not defend their title, with three wins across the two phases leaving them outside the top four and narrowly clear of relegation. MFM, two-time winners of the league, will seek to reclaim the crown lost to Dolphins last year, while Customs chase only the second league title in their history.
