Mali's national women's basketball team has arrived in Berlin for the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup, which runs from 4 to 13 September 2026 in Germany. The Aigles, the only West African representative and one of two African sides in the 20th edition, confirmed their 12-player squad ahead of their third appearance at the tournament.
Head coach Oumarou Sidibé named Rokia Doumbia, Fatoumata Sanou, Djeneba N'Diaye, Maïmouna Haïdara, Elisabeth D. Kamité, Mama Cissé, Djeneba Sangaré, Aminata B. Sangaré, Alima G. Dembélé, Sika Koné, Diana Balayera and Nagnouma Coulibaly. The squad landed in the German capital on Tuesday 1 September after a preparation stop in Spain, where they faced China and Spain, the reigning runners-up, in a three-team friendly tournament, losing both matches.
The notable inclusion is Nagnouma Coulibaly, 37, who steps in for her younger sister Mariam Alou Coulibaly, ruled out through injury. Mali open their campaign against Japan on Friday 4 September at 09:30.
