Wandrille Rasivindravalotry and Tsongaina Randriamananoro are representing Madagascar at the FIBA Africa Youth Camp in Abidjan, running from 21 to 24 October. The two under-16 players follow in the footsteps of Nirisoa Hanitriniala, the 2026 U16 MVP, and Christina Rakotozafy, who took part in the girls' gathering from 15 to 18 October.
Rasivindravalotry, MVP of the 2026 national U16 boys' championship with ASCUT Atsinanana, joins Randriamananoro of AST Analamanga at the Côte d'Ivoire camp. The duo is accompanied by coach Tafika Andrianantenaina of UBCM Boeny. The programme is organised by FIBA Africa in partnership with the NBA and offers young African players a chance to measure themselves against continental peers.
As national MVP, Rasivindravalotry draws particular attention and is expected to confirm his potential in a more demanding environment. For Randriamananoro, the camp serves as a platform to showcase his abilities and identify areas for improvement, including defensive intensity, game reading and technical execution.
The camp focuses on fundamentals, collective skills and discipline, with on-court sessions led by FIBA and NBA specialists. Selected participants may progress to a future Basketball Without Borders edition, though selection is not guaranteed.
