Kenya 2 swept the girls' 3x3 basketball competition at the 2026 ANOCA Zone Five Youth Games, winning all three stops to collect the maximum 300 points and finish 100 clear of Uganda at Kenyatta University. Uganda took silver with 200 points, South Sudan claimed bronze on 180, Kenya 1 finished with 140 and Ethiopia ended on 80.
Kenya 2 capped their unbeaten run with a 20-9 victory over Uganda in Thursday's final. Chelsea Onamu was named the girls' Most Valuable Player. "It's a good win, especially against Uganda, who have dominated us at the senior level," Onamu said. "This is a perfect warm-up for the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar."
In the boys' event, South Sudan secured the overall title with 160 points from the three stops, taking 60 points in each of the first two stops and 40 in the third. Kenya 1 finished on 140 for silver, with Kenya 2 third on 60. Kenya 1 won the third-stop final 21-18, but the result was not enough to overturn South Sudan's lead.
