Ivory Coast's women's national team secured a 4-1 victory over DR Congo in Lubumbashi in the first leg of the second round of the 2028 Olympic Games qualifiers. Seri Grâce opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 4th minute to give the Eléphantes an early lead.

DR Congo responded in front of their home supporters through Soulac in the 15th minute, drawing the Congolese level at 1-1. Five minutes later, Seri Grâce struck again to restore Ivory Coast's advantage, sending the visitors into the break with a 2-1 lead.

After the restart, Gnaly Estelle extended the advantage in the 49th minute. Coach Reynald Pedros's side completed the rout when Fofana Karidja found the net in the 53rd minute.

The result gives Ivory Coast a strong foothold ahead of the second leg, scheduled for next Tuesday, as they look to advance further in the Olympic qualification pathway.
