The final of the 2026 UFOA B U17 tournament between Côte d’Ivoire and Niger has been postponed by several hours. The teams will now meet at 19h30 at the 4 August Stadium in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, rather than 16h00 as originally scheduled.

Côte d’Ivoire, known as the Eléphanteaux, and Niger’s Jeunes Mena remain the two sides in the final, which serves as a qualifying tournament for the 2027 U17 Africa Cup of Nations. The kick-off time is the only change to the fixture.

Already qualified for CAN U17 2027, Côte d’Ivoire are also seeking to retain their sub-regional title. Their head coach, Serge Bougouyou, said the desire to win remains strong among his players.

Niger forced Côte d’Ivoire to share the points 1-1 during the group stage in the Burkinabè capital, giving the Ivorians another opportunity to establish their superiority in the UFOA-B zone.
