La Guinée a conclu la quatrième fenêtre des éliminatoires de la Coupe du monde FIBA 2027 sur une note positive en dominant le Cameroun 90-67, ce dimanche 30 août 2026 à Tunis. Après leur victoire face au Cap-Vert vendredi, les Guinéens enchaînent un deuxième succès consécutif et portent leur total à 15 points, à une unité du leader du groupe E.
The Syli national seized control from the opening tip, storming to a 28-13 lead after the first quarter behind a stingy defensive effort. Cameroun trimmed the margin in the second period, but La Guinée still reached halftime up 47-38. Corey Alan Frazier’s side reasserted themselves after the break, winning the third quarter and pushing the advantage to 15 at 67-52 before closing out a 23-point win in the final period.
The result leaves La Guinée within touching distance of a direct World Cup ticket heading into the final qualifying window in February 2027. The Syli will target one of the three automatic berths, with a playoff place the fallback as they chase a place at the 2027 tournament.
