The Palais des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan will host the FIBA Africa regional youth camp in October, the second time the Ivorian capital has staged the annual event after 2024. The camp is dedicated to developing young African talent, with sessions for girls from 15 to 18 October and for boys from 21 to 24 October.

Forty girls and boys from twenty African countries will take part, joined by fifteen Ivorian players. Coaches from across the continent will run training overseen by experts from the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and the NBA.

The programme combines classroom and on-court sessions aimed at strengthening individual and collective skills, with teamwork, effort and dedication among the values highlighted. Some participants may get the chance to join a future edition of Basketball Without Borders.

The initiative also seeks to promote solidarity and community spirit among young players. Since its creation in 2021, the camp has reached its sixth regional edition, with previous editions held in Kenya, Senegal, Madagascar, Morocco, Mali, Rwanda, Cameroon and Egypt.
