The annual FIBA Africa Regional Youth Camp returns to Abidjan this October, with forty boys and girls from twenty African countries set to train at the Palais des Sports de Treichville. It is the second time the venue has hosted the event since 2024.

The girls' camp runs from 15–18 October and the boys' edition from 21–24 October, both reserved for players under 16. Fifteen local players and fifteen coaches from across the continent will take part in classroom and on-court sessions led by FIBA and NBA experts.

Naoufal Uariach will direct the girls' camp alongside Spain's Isabel Fernandez, known as Coach Moses. Fernandez guided Spain to second place at the 2026 FIBA U17 Women's Basketball Cup in the Czech Republic earlier this year. FIBA instructor Joe Touomou will lead the boys' event.

The programme focuses on improving individual and collective skills while promoting values such as teamwork, hard work and dedication. FIBA Africa also aims to instil solidarity and community among the young participants, with some campers set to progress to Basketball Without Borders.

Previous editions have been hosted in Kenya, Senegal, Madagascar, Morocco, Mali, Rwanda, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire and Egypt since the camp's inception in 2021.
