Abidjan will host the fifth window of the FIBA 2027 Basketball World Cup qualifiers from 25 to 28 February 2027 at the Palais des Sports in Treichville, the Ivorian Basketball Federation has confirmed. The tournament follows the fourth window, which was played in Dakar, Senegal.
Six nations are competing for the two qualification slots: Ivory Coast, Senegal, Egypt, Mali, Angola and DR Congo. The overall qualifiers will determine which African teams join the World Cup lineup in Qatar.
Ivory Coast's Elephants will play return fixtures against Mali, Egypt and Angola in front of a home crowd. The Côte d'Ivoire side previously faced those opponents earlier in the qualifying campaign.
The February window offers the Elephants a chance to consolidate their position on home court as the race for Qatar 2027 intensifies across the continent.
