Moroccan basketball has entered a new phase of development with the signing of a four-season strategic partnership between Dislog Group and the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Basketball (FRMBB). The deal goes beyond a traditional sponsorship, aiming to strengthen the competitiveness of the national championship, support emerging talent and widen access to the sport across the kingdom.

At the heart of the agreement is a change to the commercial identity of the national championship, which will now be known as the Dislog Basket League (DBL). Both partners say the rebranding reflects their desire to build a more attractive, better-valued competition capable of mobilising more supporters, economic partners and young players.

The partnership rests on three strategic priorities. The first focuses on improving the sporting level and visibility of the national championship, creating a more favourable environment for clubs, players and the wider basketball ecosystem. The second targets youth development and talent detection, with both parties seeking to foster a new generation of Moroccan players capable of competing internationally.

The third axis covers the rollout of basketball schools across different regions of the kingdom, intended to democratise access to the sport and broaden pathways for young people into structured training.
