Bravehearts Ladies Basketball Club retained the International Basketball Challenge title on Saturday, thrashing Zambia's Green Buffaloes 93-55 in the final at the African Bible College Gym in Lilongwe. The victory secured back-to-back titles for the Malawian side, who also won last year's edition at the same venue.
The 38-point margin underlined Bravehearts' dominance throughout the final, with Green Buffaloes unable to contain the hosts' attacking threat. The result cements Bravehearts' standing as one of Malawi's leading women's basketball clubs in recent years.
The International Basketball Challenge gathers regional club sides from across southern Africa, offering competition outside domestic schedules. With consecutive titles on home soil, Bravehearts have reinforced their reputation as the team to beat on the regional club circuit.
