APR Rwanda reached the Women’s Basketball League Africa Zone 5 semi-finals after a 110-52 quarter-final victory over Dynamo BBC on Thursday. The result completed an undefeated run through the tournament for the Rwandan club.
Senegalese international Yacine Diop scored 26 points, collected four rebounds and delivered five assists. She also recorded two blocks as APR opened a commanding lead and progressed to the last four.
Diop was a leading contributor throughout the group stage and knockout round. She scored 15 points against Equity of Kenya in a 91-56 victory, 12 against Vijana in a 155-51 win and 27 versus the Hippos in a 95-66 result.
APR’s three wins from three placed the team at the top of Group B before the quarter-final success over Dynamo BBC.
