The Palais des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan is hosting FIBA Africa's regional youth camp in October, bringing together under-16 players from across the continent. The programme features a session for girls from 15 to 18 October, followed by one for boys from 21 to 24 October.

For the second time since 2024, the Ivorian capital is staging the annual event, which is dedicated to developing young African basketball talent. The camp will gather 40 girls and boys from 20 African countries, alongside 15 Ivorian players, with coaches from across the continent taking part in sessions led by experts from FIBA and the NBA.

Activities on and off the court are designed to strengthen individual and collective skills, while promoting values such as teamwork, effort and dedication. The FIBA-NBA camp also aims to support the personal development of participants, with some given the chance to join a future edition of Basketball Without Borders.

FIBA Africa launched the regional camps in 2021, and this year's gathering is the sixth edition. Previous editions were held in Kenya and Senegal in 2021, Madagascar and Morocco in 2022, Mali and Rwanda in 2023, Cameroon and Côte d'Ivoire in 2024, and Egypt in 2025.
