President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, Ahmadu Musa Kida, has joined millions of Nigerians at home and abroad to mark the country's 66th Independence Anniversary. He described the moment as worthy of celebration given what the nation has endured in recent years and acknowledged the sacrifices of its leaders.
Kida also thanked the basketball community, particularly the players, officials, fans and stakeholders of the game. He praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he called steadfastness and unflinching commitment to the country's growth through the Renewed Hope Agenda.
"There are several reasons for us to celebrate our country's 66th Independence anniversary. As a people, we have truly weathered through many turbulent storms and of course, we have always come out stronger and better," Kida said. He urged Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to keep working hard and to pray for continued unity, peace, stability and development.
