Three players who travelled to Morocco together in June with the NBPA are now sharing a locker room at the Philadelphia 76ers. Jaylen Brown joined the Sixers in exchange for Paul George, while Senegalese centre Tacko Fall first attended training camp before securing a two-way contract. Jabari Walker, also in camp with Philadelphia, found his locker placed between those of his two former travel companions.

Walker said he knew Brown slightly through their shared physical trainer, but the Morocco trip brought them closer, largely through a shared passion for the sport. "He is always ready to help and give advice. He is really a very good person," Walker said of Brown.

The bond between Brown and Fall runs deeper, as the two spent two seasons together at Boston, where the Senegalese big man played 26 of his 37 NBA games. "I have known Jaylen for many years. He is a very close friend," Fall confirmed. "We spent a lot of time together and became very close. He is also one of my daughter's godfathers. He is part of my family."

Standing 2.29 metres tall, Fall will look to carve out a role behind Joel Embiid as he begins his stint on a two-way deal, leaning on a teammate who, in his words, is far more than just a colleague.
