Basketball Club Hatari comot from Kinshasa on Friday 23 October make e go FIBA Women’s Basketball League Africa qualifiers for Brazzaville, wey go run from 24 to 28 October. The Kinshasa club enta the tournament as recent runners-up for Congo DR afta dem face BC CNSS for final.
Head coach Pierrot Ilunga tok say the team don prepare well and dey ready make dem represent their country. “Hatari dey travel go Brazza today by midday. Na real joy to dey participate for this kind of competition and represent the whole country. The team don prepare well. We don do everything we suppose to do make we feel ready,” he say.
Ilunga say Hatari only objective na to secure place for continental finals for Cairo. “I believe say the objective for any team wey enter international competition na to qualify and go as far as wey possible, so we dey go with one objective, to qualify for final phase.”
Two places dey available for finals. Hatari go face BC CNSS, Overdose Up Station of Cameroon, Anges Noirs Bantous, Interclub of Congo and Charbo Squad of Gabon for Henri-Elendé gymnasium.
