The Phoenix Suns have picked up the fourth-year option on Ryan Dunn's rookie contract and the third-year option on Khaman Maluach, the franchise announced. Both players were already guaranteed for 2026/27, with the new options adding a further season and securing their pay for 2027/28: Dunn will earn $5.03 million, Maluach $6.62 million.
Dunn, the 28th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, has settled into the Suns' rotation over two seasons. He has played 144 regular-season games, starting 60, averaging 6.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in 19 minutes. Phoenix has leaned on his defensive and athletic profile, though his offensive game remains uneven: 44% shooting overall, 32% from three and 49% from the free-throw line.
Maluach, selected in the 2025 Draft, had a limited rookie year at centre, posting 3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in nine minutes across 46 appearances. The South Sudanese big man impressed in the Summer League, and Mark Williams' shoulder surgery, which will sideline the starter early this season, has opened minutes in the paint. South Sudan-native Maluach, listed at 2.16m (7ft 1in) at media day, will share that role with Duop Reath, signed to a one-year minimum deal.
