Philadelphia 76ers supporters have reacted to the first image of LeBron James, Joel Embiid, Jaylen Brown, Tyrese Maxey and V.J. Edgecombe in Sixers uniforms, released by the NBA ahead of the 2026-27 season. James joined Philadelphia from the Los Angeles Lakers, while Brown arrived from Boston during the offseason.
Reactions were largely focused on the concentration of talent, though not every supporter was convinced the star power would translate into playoff success. One fan wrote: "Bunch of ballers, 2nd round exit is their ceiling unfortunately," while another commented: "For media day. Not so much for NBA games."
Others were more optimistic. "Some of the hottest in the league. This is a pinch me moment," one supporter posted, with another adding: "Insane. Yea it's chip or bust ngl." The word "superteam" also surfaced in the reaction, with one fan noting: "Lowkey a superteam if they're all healthy."
Not everyone hoped to see the experiment work. "I can't wait til this fails," one supporter admitted, while another reflected on James' standing in the group, writing: "This is history to see LeBron stand second to anyone."
James has already stressed that the Sixers will need time to develop and must embrace uncomfortable work rather than expect instant results.
