Pascal Siakam has downplayed the importance of ongoing contract discussions with the Indiana Pacers, saying his agents handle every detail. The Cameroonian forward, who helped the franchise reach the 2025 NBA Finals, is eligible to sign a $207 million extension with Indiana.
Siakam joined the Pacers in 2024 on a four-year, $188 million deal. He will earn $48,924,624 this season and $52,298,736 in 2027-28. Last year he made his fourth All-Star team, averaging 24.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game without injured guard Tyrese Haliburton, as the Pacers finished with 19 wins.
After a 2025 Finals run that ended in a seven-game loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Indiana has reshaped its roster around Siakam, Haliburton and centre Ivica Zubac, acquired from the Los Angeles Clippers at the trade deadline. The cost was high: Indiana forfeited a 2026 first-round pick that went to the Clippers.
The Pacers added Larry Nance Jr., Kelly Oubre Jr. and Braden Smith in the offseason and open the 2026-27 season on October 21 against the New Orleans Pelicans.
