Munali Suns coach David Musonda says the reigning Zambian champions have doubled their training sessions ahead of the Basketball Africa League qualifying tournament, with international reinforcements expected to strengthen the squad. Zambia will host the BAL qualifiers for the second time from October 30 to November 3, drawing teams from Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malawi, South Africa and Mozambique.

Musonda said preparations had stepped up, with the team now training twice a day, in the morning and evening, while player morale remained high. The Suns, who carry domestic title-winning form into the continental assignment, are looking to translate local success into progress in the qualifiers.

"So far so good. We've now, despite our practice, doubled up. We're training twice a day, morning and evening. And concerning player morale, everything is good," Musonda told News Diggers.
