ADA Blois paid tribute to Moctar Ndir during a recent friendly tournament, marking 25 years of service with the club for the Senegalese-born basketball figure. General manager Julien Monclar called him a remarkable ambassador for the sport and for young people in Blois. Ndir was visibly moved by the gesture, receiving a jersey bearing the number 25 from his children. "I am not sure I managed to hold back my tears," he said.

Ndir arrived in France from Senegal and settled in Loir-et-Cher in 2001. He first came to Nogent-le-Rotrou to study accountancy and sports education, while playing at N3 and Prénationale level. A strong performance against ADA caught the eye of president Raoul Baudry and captain Nicolas Raimbault, who recruited him as the club rose to Nationale 2.

His bond with Blois extended well beyond the court. Ndir was hired by the city as a sports educator and coached young teams on a voluntary basis, from U11 up to U18 elite last season. Working as assistant to Corentin Doucet, he helped ADA reach a historic Final Four. Now part of the professional staff, he is described by colleagues as a ray of sunshine with a natural ability to connect with young players.
