Senegal international Mbaye Ndiaye delivered a career-best EuroLeague performance on Thursday evening in Bologna, finishing with 23 points, seven rebounds, one steal and one block in 20 minutes. His efficiency rating of 29 surpassed his previous European high of 26, set twice last season.

The former ASVEL wing shot 10 of 11 from the field in the match, a EuroLeague contest decided by a Marcus Carr buzzer-beater for Virtus Bologna.

"The coach trusts me, everyone trusts me," Ndiaye said afterwards. "The welcome from everyone at Olympiakos has been wonderful."

Ndiaye arrived at Olympiakos this summer after his contract extension at ASVEL, signed on 8 July and running through 2029, was broken the following month. Last weekend, he won his first professional trophy, the Greek Super Cup, contributing 9 points and 6 rebounds in a 101-96 final win over PAOK Salonique. He followed that with 9 points in 19 minutes against Kaunas on Tuesday.

Olympiakos used the 1.98m forward at centre for long stretches against Bologna, a role forced by injuries in the Greek frontcourt.
