The Labé basketball tournament concluded in Guinea after several days of competition bringing together eight cities. Organised in the continuation of the 2025 edition, the event featured men's and women's teams in a setting dedicated to promoting basketball and connecting young people from different regions.

In the men's draw, Dabola-Cité won the final against Boké. In the women's bracket, Mamou beat Dabola-Cité to claim the title. The matches allowed delegations to compete while the competition also focused on detecting and supporting young players.

The closing ceremony was attended by communal, regional and prefectural authorities, including the governor, the prefect, the mayor of Labé and the regional army chief. Their presence signalled the interest given to sport and youth initiatives.

The event also served to renovate Labé's basketball facilities, notably through the installation of modern hoops, while sports equipment was distributed to the participating teams. Led by Aguibou Diallo with the association Basketball Pour Tous, the initiative aims to develop the discipline in Guinea and offer more opportunities to young players.
