Devin Booker has singled out Khaman Maluach as the player who has grown the most during the Phoenix Suns' offseason, according to Shane Young of the club's official site."I'd say he's taken the biggest leap of anyone I've seen this summer," Booker said of the second-year centre. Maluach averaged just 8.9 minutes across 46 regular-season appearances as a rookie before producing an impressive showing at Summer League.
Booker's endorsement points to a larger role for the South Sudan-born big man in the Suns' frontcourt in 2026-27. Phoenix will be looking for Maluach to build on his Summer League form as the team reshapes its rotation.
The Suns have invested in Maluach's development since drafting him, and his expanded minutes could give Phoenix more depth behind its established frontcourt options.
