The Ivorian Basketball Federation (FIBB) has approved a packed 2026-2027 calendar at an ordinary general assembly held on Saturday 4 October at the Palais des Sports in Treichville. Mandators unanimously adopted the programme of activities and budgets for the new season, which runs from 1 September 2026 to 23 May 2027.

Across the national competitions, 108 teams from 237 affiliated structures will contest 572 fixtures, supported by a provisional budget of around 542 million FCFA. The Supercoupe Général Dem Aly Justin will officially open the season on 31 October, with the championships kicking off between 1 and 15 November 2026. The Ligue Jeunes will operate across eight competition zones — four in Abidjan and four in the interior — alongside strengthened referee training.

The international calendar begins with the 2027 World Cup qualifying window in February in Abidjan, followed by the U19 World Cup in the Czech Republic, AfroCAN in Kigali, the U16 Afrobasket boys and girls in Tunis, the Women's AfroBasket in Yaoundé and the senior World Cup in Doha, Qatar. International commitments are estimated at 1.254 billion FCFA.

The federation pointed to recent results as proof of the country's growing standing — Ivory Coast won the U16 African title in 2025 and the U18 title in 2026.
