Energie BBC were eliminated from the Road to BAL 2027 after losing 92-71 to Ghana’s Spintex Knights at the Grand Hall in Tripoli on Friday 23 October.
The Benin champions started with a 92-69 victory over the NPA Pythons, but then lost 80-57 to Guinea’s Nabaya Sofas. Their defeat to Spintex, who secured one of Group B’s two places in the Elite 16 of the West Division, left Energie BBC third with one win and two defeats.
Spintex completed the group stage with three victories after earlier beating Nabaya Sofas and the NPA Pythons. Nabaya Sofas took the second qualifying position with a 78-68 win over the NPA Pythons.
The eight qualified clubs will meet in Abidjan in November for the Elite 16 of the West Division, where two places will be available for the 2027 Basketball Africa League season.
