Reigning Madagascar champion COSPN has strengthened its squad for the Road to BAL 2027 qualifiers with the signing of Angolan centre Jorge Filipe and American-Nigerian guard Ikenna Okeke. The defending national champions announced the two additions ahead of the African campaign.
Filipe, a 2.06-metre pivot, joins from United Basket in Angola. COSPN expect his size and physical presence to bring defensive solidity, rebounding and a reliable scoring option in the paint as the club prepares to face the continent's heavyweights.
Okeke, a 1.98-metre versatile guard with dual American and Nigerian nationality, arrives with extensive international experience across the United States, Spain and Serbia. He most recently played for FOG Næstved in Denmark's top flight, adding perimeter depth and international pedigree to the Malagasy side.
