BC CNSS retained the Congo Cup on Sunday 27 September 2026, defeating BC Hatari 61-53 in the final of the 43rd edition at the Gymnase jumelé of the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa. The Kinshasa-based side, known as the Amazones, controlled the contest through a strong opening period of 23-15, before BC Hatari responded with 18-11 and 16-10 quarters. CNSS closed out the game with a 9-12 final period to seal the national title and the gold medals.
The triumph extends CNSS's domestic dominance and gives the club a measure of revenge over BC Hatari following recent provincial encounters in the capital. Beyond the trophy, the result carries international significance for the reigning title-holders as they look ahead to further continental opportunities.
In the third-place playoff, BC Makomeno secured the bronze medal with an emphatic 84-48 win over BC Lupopo. Makomeno finished their campaign on a high note, while Lupopo ended the tournament just off the podium in fourth place.
