The Basketball Africa League will unveil six new basketball courts across West Africa over the next three weeks as part of its community development initiatives, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Each project will deliver a newly constructed or refurbished court intended to serve as a safe and accessible space for basketball and other community activities.
According to the BAL, the six projects share a common goal of using basketball to connect communities, create opportunities and inspire the next generation. The latest courts form part of the league's long-term commitment to supporting the construction and refurbishment of 1,000 basketball courts across Africa.
Beyond promoting the sport, the initiative is designed to strengthen youth development and create platforms where young people can improve their basketball skills while building stronger community connections. The BAL said the new courts reflect its broader commitment to using basketball as a vehicle for social impact and creating lasting opportunities for communities across the continent.
