Abidjan will host the second phase of the Basketball Africa League Elite 16 qualifiers from 10 to 15 November 2026, at the Palais des Sports dome in Treichville. The competition follows the Afrobasket U18 tournaments for girls and boys held in August.
JCA Kings, the 2026 men's champions of Côte d'Ivoire, will serve as host club. The team, which reached the BAL top 8 last season, is directly qualified for this year's Elite 16 and will discover its opponents after the first phase of the qualifiers, scheduled for 21 to 31 October 2026.
The Elite 16 grouping is the second stage of the BAL qualifying pathway, narrowing the field ahead of the continental club tournament. Organisers have wished the Ivorian representatives good luck as they prepare to face the challengers set to emerge from the opening round.
