Abdu Kone is the youngest player on Barcelona's EuroLeague roster. The Malian centre was born in January 2009, measures 209 centimetres and wears number 41. Barcelona registered him for the first team on September 24, 2026.
His basketball education has happened entirely inside the club. He arrived in the youth setup for the 2023-24 season, at 14. Two campaigns with the U18 team followed in Catalonia, and he has played for the Liga U side since 2025-26.
The registration runs until June 30, 2027 and allows the staff to call him up without losing a senior roster slot. The mechanism is used by clubs to test a prospect in training rather than hand him regular minutes.
Only Olek Balcerowski, listed at 216 centimetres, stands taller than Kone in the current Barcelona squad. Every other player on the roster gives up centimetres to the Malian teenager.
Kone has not logged a EuroLeague appearance so far this season, with zero minutes next to his name. His passport name is Abdrahamane Kone, though Barcelona and the EuroLeague shortened it to Abdu for the roster.
